Stumbled across this nice little article about one of my favorite works, "Peeping Tom Project". I started this "passion project" back in 2010, and it was the first work I ever displayed in Portland. I worked tirelessly on this for months, going back and forth to hole in the wall book stores to find vintage dirty magazines.
I had the idea when I found an old photography project from highschool where we were assigned to take a portrait and weave it with a landscape photograph. I loved the end result. I had done previous work that many of my friends said was "too risque" or "graphic". I have always had a love for nude photography and artwork that incorporates it..So, I had the idea to make these beautiful Polaroids, in the hopes that once I hung them four feet above everyone's head at East Side Deli, the tiny images of crotches, penises, and breasts would be unrecognizable. Mission Accomplished. I did a series of 100, which can be found in my gallery under "work".
